WORLD HISTORY/GEOGRAPHY: one credit

PREREQUISITE: none

Each of the continents are studied in World Cultures. Much time will be spent on the study of North America, Europe, the Middle East, Russia, the Orient, and Australia. Developing map skills will be emphasized.

AMERICAN HISTORY: one credit

JUNIORS

PREREQUISITE: World History or World Cultures

American History is a survey of the 20th century, and will cover the political, social, and economic development of the United States. Special emphasis will be placed on America's greatest people and major wars.

 

AMERICAN GOVERNMENT: one credit

SENIORS

PREREQUISITE: American History

American Government is a course intended to familiarize students with the structure and process of our governmental system. Special emphasis will be placed on the three branches of government, political parties, and the Constitution. In addition, time will be spent on current problems in our democracy.
