{JH VB won there 7th grade game against Smith Center w/ a 27/25 win & a 25/20 win. C-Team also won w/ a 25/12 win & a 25/17 win. 8th grade fought hard but lost a very close game w/ a 21/25 loss and a 23/25 loss.

~NEW LUNCH LINE-UP SCHEDULE IS AS FOLLOWS: A - H is at the North end of the cafeteria. I - Z is at the South end of the Cafeteria.

~The deadline for FCCLA dues are Friday, Sept. 3rd.

~The Sign-up/informational meeting for scholar's bowl, will be September 9th @ 3:15 in Miss Stueve's room.

~A suggestion box has been placed in the cafeteria for lunch suggestions.

~The first home tailgate cookout will be Friday, Sept. 10th at 5:30pm at the north end of the FB field. All proceeds go to After Prom.

~The PSAT test will be held on Wed, Oct 13th. Checks can be made out to PHS for $13.00 and given to the Guidance Counselor by Sept. 30th.

~If you want to be eligible to go on the Kansas State Fair trip, please bring your FFA dues to Miss Brewer by Sept. 8th.

~Congratulations to the Cardinal Cross Country team on a successful start to the 2010 season at the Norton Invitational. Cassidy Rathbun ran a gutsy race and placed 2nd in the Girls Varsity race. The Cardinal Boys Team placed 2nd, led by Brady Johnson's 1st place finish and Nolan Weiser's 12th place finish. Cole Werner and Tyler Compton both placed inside the top 20, with Dustin Chew also contributing to the 2nd place team score. Kent Diaz and Tristan Houser also ran for the Varsity squad. In the Boys JV race, Dylan Dohe placed 9th to complete the Cardinal collection of hardware, with Tyler Husmann, Jake Arnold, and Chris Loney narrowly missing out on medaling. The next meet for the Cards will be at Quinter next Thursday.

~The Lady Cardinals traveled to Kensington to take on Palco and Thunder Ridge last night. The ladies started off a little slow against Palco, but beat them in two. Then, the Cards really hit their stride playing their best match of the season thus far defeating Thunder Ridge 25-12 and 25-12. The JV competed but lost to Thunder Ridge.
