Kennedy's grave and George Washington's house. They also went to China Town and Time Square. The group also attended the Broadway production of Beauty and the Beast.

Fellhoelter said, "My favorite part was the theater and going to the top of the Empire State Building. I will never forget getting lost in Time Square with the tour guide."

Turnbull said "The least favorite part of the trip was climbing the Statue of Liberty. My encounter on the flight home from Chicago to Kansas City was something I'll never forget. A guy harassed us on the plane and had to be escorted off by security guards."

Bland said, "My favorite part was the play."

J. Jones said, "I went flying for the first time! My favorite thing was renting a limo in New York City. The grossest thing was the smell and the graffiti."

Becker said, "I hated the rainy weather. My most memorable moment of the trip was the last night we were there. Kelly, Renee, and I stayed up all night fighting over stress relief spray (sic.) from Bath and Body Works!

Post said, "My favorite part was the play. The bad weather was my least favorite."

Weigel said, "I didn't like climbing one and a half hours up 364 stairs to the top of the Statue of Liberty. The room at the top was the size of my truck and had windows the size of books! My most memorable moment was in the Statue of Liberty when Heather said she wasn't afraid of heights and then she cried while crawling on her hands and knees up the stairs and scooting on her butt the whole way down."

Eilers said, "My most memorable moment was rooming with Audrey, Heather, and Jennifer."

Peavey said, "I wish we had more time in the Smithsonian. When you step out of the airport in New York, the whole city feels different. It hits you immediately, but it's really hard to explain."

Bjornstad said, "My favorite part wa the Changing of the Guard at Arlington Cemetary. My most memorable moment was making the video of the trip. My least favorite part of the trip was the bad food."

Talking About Spring Break

The Booster staff asked PHS students what they did over their spring break, what they would have liked to do and what their most memorable spring break moment was. The following are some of their responses.

Freshman Craig Baldwin- "Went to my grandma's house and got to see cousins I have never seen. I would have liked to got to Worlds of Fun and go back to Colorado. When I sat in the hot tub at the Holiday Inn with six pretty young ladies."

Sophomore Willie Ruder- "I pumped a lot of gas, fixed several tires and listened to oilfield stories. I also went to some horse races in Nebraska. I wish I could have gone to the QVC studio and watched the Ronco Rotisserie Oven at work. My most memorable break was when we actually had a whole week off for spring break. Them were the good old days."

Freshman Lindsey Plante- "I went out with my friends. I wish I could have gone to Texas to stay with my aunt and uncle. My most memorable spring break was when I went to Wichita and got to go shopping."

Sophomore Jamie Stahl- "Me, Lacey, Matt, Lindsey, Jamie Dreher, Michelle, and Stevie went mudding and my truck beat Byron's truck! Matt was driving! More mudding! Spent more time with my friends. None, really, but I guess this year was the best. If we had more of a BREAK, then I could go somewhere and do something, but this year's break was okay."

Senior Hannah Deibert- "I celebrated my nephew Zach's birthday. He turned one. The same thing because I had fun playing with him. This one because Zach's first birthday and party only happens once."

Senior Ashlee Grover- "I traveled to Topeka for a couple of days, and to Smith Center for one day. I also went shopping, and just basically relaxed. I wish I would have run and pampered myself more. When I was in sixth grade, a friend invited me to travel to Washington, D.C. with her and her dad! It was the best vacation ever!"
