FHA elections take place at Osborne February 17
Junior Diana Stout and sophomore Lindsey Ostrom ran for 1999-2000 District B FHA Officers on February 17 at Osborne High School. Sixteen total individuals ran for office while only eight were chosen. Both Stout and Ostrom were selected to the executive council.
Each candidate had to give a three minute presentation to the voting delegates. They were then asked a question about FHA and had five minutes to write down their answer as well as present it to the voting delegates. The final part of the elections was the candidates answering a spontaneous fact question.
Stout will be representing the district as Vice President of Membership and Ostrom will be the Vice President of Public Relations.
An induction ceremony was held at the end of the day as the new officers took the place of the 1998-1999 officers. Senior Jenna Stout relinquished her position as the president and handed her gavel over to the newly elected president.
