Booster articles appear on PHS web site You can locate articles from the Cardinal Booster on the site http://www.phscardinals.org. The multimedia class, consisting of 15 seniors and two juniors, do hard work to put the articles on the site. The class has to retype the Booster up on the page in Macromedia Dreamweaver They have to set up links from the base page to the web. They have been working on updating the web page. To see the results of the volleyball and football teams go to the site. Almost all the sites have been updated, and you can also find information about the staff and other sports and the breakfast and lunch menus on the site. "The site is pretty neat. It's really cool to have your name on the Internet," said junior Matthew Rodriquez. The students have done hard work on this page. This is a year long project. Later on, each student will have his or her own home page telling about his or her life and plans on the site. To find out more about the site, go to the site http://www.phscardinals.org. If you have any questions about the site, go to one of the students in the class or Wade Ditter himself. "I think multimedia class is pretty cool - almost as cool as ninjas. It's kind of slow, but I think once we all get used to it and update everything, our progress will pick up," junior Corey Brin said. The real meaning of Thanksgiving Thanksgiving- what does it really mean to the world and the people all around you? Well Thanksgiving is a very old tradition that dates back to when the pilgrims first came to this country. The pilgrims came to start a whole new life where they were not persecuted for their beliefs. The pilgrims had no idea that Indians were living there first. They saw the Indians as savage, blood- thirsty natives. The pilgrims and Indians decided to come together for a day of celebration and food during which everyone would be at peace and join together for all that is good. All over the United States on November 25, people are celebrating Thanksgiving. These families may be carving a turkey or carving a goose, but every family that celebrates this special holiday is always together to give thanks. So everyone who needs to be thankful for something, be thankful on Thanksgiving and remember what the Indians and Pilgrims shared. Blue Streak-Two years ago, talented jewel thief Miles Logan (Martin Lawrence) was forced to hide his stolen, precious diamond at a construction site when his $20 million heist went bad. Today, Logan is out of jail-an waiting to go to outrageous lengths to get that diamond back. The problem? The site where he hid the diamond is now an L.A. precinct. In Blue Streak, a hilarious comedy packed with high-voltage action directed by Les Mayfield, Miles impersonates a detective in the hopes of making a quick and easy getaway with the rock. However, teamed with rookie partner Carlson (Luke Wilson), Logan instead becomes the toast of the department and "fails upward" to become head of detectives when his criminal expertise ends up inadvertently solving cases and winning the admiration of his fellow cops. I recommend this movie to anyone who likes comedy and action films. It has a good dose of both.
Kid Rock: Devil without a cause was the first album released by Kid Rock. Kid Rock is a young adult, trying to make it in the Rap world. He shows signs of being a promising and rising artist in the late 90's and through the next Millennium. My top three favorites on this CD would have to be "Cowboy," "Devil Without A Cause," and "Only God Knows Why." The lyrics bring you an understanding of what has been or might be happening in your life. If you enjoy rap or would just like to hear something new with a new artist, I would recommend Devil without a cause..
